From start to finish of this whole project I have learnt so much. From initially learning how to use and camera and tripod correctly when making the preliminary, to then going out with the equipment and filming the first two minutes of a film.
First of all using a blog was a totally new
experience for me. I was a different way of recording information and data then
I was normally used to. After a few weeks of using the blog I started to the
positives of using it. Getting feedback off friends and my teacher was really
easy and the fact you could reach your work from any computer with a internet
connection.
When
it came to filming. Being behind the
camera really made me thing about shot positions and camera locations. As if an
unwanted object was in shot it would ruin the feel of the clip. Choosing the
correct place for them camera also really changed the footage you got as
lighting could be a real problem. I learnt that using a camera tripod for all
non-moving shots is a must. As even if you seem to stand perfectly straight
there will always be camera wobble.
After finished the filming process looking
back made me release that things don’t always go to plan and that your team
should always have a back up. For example our group thought it would only take
a day for film all the footage needed.
This was not the case as we ha problems with the weather and some group
members.
Preliminary task I had no idea how to even
import video let alone cut and edit correctly. I now feel totally confident
going on to an editing machine and editing a clip. I have explored the cool
features of the editing programs to find effects.
From my preliminary to my final product I
think its clear to see we have improved a lot. There has been much more
detailed taken in to consideration at each small step instead of just filming
and seeing what it looks like.
